United Peoples Freedom Alliance (UPFA) has mede a recoded victory in the Panduwasnuwara electorate in Kurunegala district at the NWPC polls held yesterday (21).
In that electorate the UPFA recorded a massive chunk of 40185 votes, and the runner up UNP has got only 4667 votes.
Accordingly, UPFA has taken a lead of 35518 votes (84.43%).
The UNP has sunken into a pathetic 9.81%.
Panduwasnuwara is the birthplace of Mr. Dayasiri
Jayasekara and he was the organizer of the area when he was in the UNP.
