A petition has been sent to the bribery and corruption unit by an anonymous person saying that Mervin Silva the Minister of public affairs and public relations had spent very much more than his income. For these allegations Minister has been summoned to the bribery and corruption unit for questioning.
The Minister had been asked to be present on the 4th instant but he had failed to be present. However he had
requested for another day to be present with all his income and expenditure records.
It is learnt that the bribery commission had promised to give him another day for investigations to commence.
