President Mahinda Rajapaksha Seeked Forgiveness from Me - Navi Pilley to BBC

The BBC ‘Sandesaya’ has reported some disturbing statements the United Nations Human Rights High Commissioner Navaneedam Pillay had made during her official visit to Sri Lanka which ended yesterday.
The BBC’s Colombo’s reporter Asan Amin has stated in the official web site in this manner.
Three Ministers of the government had made personal abusive statements to the United Nations Human Rights
Commission and to her. In this regard the HE President had sought forgiveness from the High Commissioner was revealed by Navaneedam Pillay herself.
The High Commissioner of the United Nations Human Rights commission who had come on an official visit had received a marriage proposal by Mervin Silva., the Minister of public relations.

She had been defamed by three Ministers saying that the High Commissioner who has come to Sri Lanka is a ‘Tigress of the United Nations High Commissioner’s office she had revealed.

“With my Indian origin they had made statements that I am guilty and as well as abusive”. For such offensive comments the HE President had sought forgiveness on behalf of the hurting comments made by the Ministers. The High Commissioner had expressed her appreciation for HE President who had sought forgiveness.
