Dr.Aluthwewa Soratha Nayaka Thera Passes Away

Dr. Aluthwewa Soratha Nayaka Thera Chief Incumbent of Katharagama Kiriwehera Temple and Chancellor of Uva Wellassa University passed away this afternoon at a Private hospital in Colombo.

The priest was 71 at the time of his demise.The remains will lie in state at the Keselwatte temple in Colombo, before being taken to the Kirivehara temple tomorrow for cremation.

The Basnayake Nilame of the temple said that the temple will be closed from 10.30 am  tomorrow, till 6.30 pm on
October 2 as a mark of respect for the deceased Chief Incumbent.
