“The Routine in the New Express Highway was changed for me to go Home Quickly” - Dullas Alahapperuma

The Minister of Youth and Skills development Dullas Alahapperuma has stressed that certain politicians in the opposition have made allegations that for me to go from home to Colombo quicker, the route in the proposed new Southern Express Highway had been changed. This change it is learnt had been made in the Matara to Mattala new Express Highway. The people in this area had been instigated to make protests owing to these dubious
allegations.

“They have said that a change has been made for Dullas to go to Colombo and return to his home” he quipped.

“After the certain changes that were made with the approval of the HE President the cost to be incurred has been reduced by a sum of Rs 53 billion. The Agarawala entrance point was to be constructed within a lake. The estimated cost was Rs 8 billion. However when the plan was changed to have the entrance constructed from Walakanda Dandeniya area the estimated cost was Rs 2 billion. There was a saving of Rs 6 billion.
Without knowing facts the opposition politicians have slandered me and spread false rumours. These are political conspiracies and tactics adopted by the politicians in the outstations” ,Minister Dullas  Alahapperuma further stressed.
