A number of Sri Lanka's top level actresses have publicly expressed their dislike towards her, 9090 learns.
At an interview with a tabloid supplement of a weekend newspaper, Pooja has been asked whether there it was true that some local actresses are enthuusiastic with her participance in Sri Lankan movies.
Noting that although she does not believe it to be so, Pooja has added that even if was true, it would be utterly baseless
as she is taking part in only one or two movies per year.
She has said that she only joined the Sinhala Cinema due to her maternal grandfather's request.
In this interview, Pooja has also expressed her consent in taking part in a Sinhala teledrama.
Pooja has also said that she has improved her Sinhala speaking skills, but is still having troubles with fluent speech.She has said that it is the reason why she has being backing off from joining a Sinhala teledrama.
